Who, When, Why, Where, How?

My Trip To Europe took place in the summer of '96.   You could say it was the "standard" college trip, where students panic because their carefree (yeah right) lifestyle will soon be disrupted by a horrible thing called WORK.

I ended up sharing this pre-mid-life crisis with three of my friends from school:

Like most people who take such an extensive trip, we had to spend over a year saving and planning the trip.  Of course the savings regiment was not adhered to with too much discipline, so it was only by the skin of our teeth (and deep pockets of relatives) that we came up with enough cash to go.

Thankfully, we had a great time!  Lots of events occurred, both good and bad; but we were spared the type of "major travel catastrophe" that you hear people talk about at work.

During the trip, I kept a journal and took over 20 rolls of 24 exposure film (you do the math).  That's more pictures than most people take over the course of a few of years.  Luckily for you,  :-) I had the urge to put some of the highlights on the web to share the experience.

Except for the caption, the text on the following pages is directly from my journal entries, which I made during the trip.

If you have the time, please take the tour.  I think you'll enjoy it.
